24 hour helpline:
The current issue in the industry headlines with regard to non-renewal and revocation of Practising Certificates is symptomatic of the SRA’s bungled approach to the introduction and implementation of the mySRA portal. You need to act urgently on this matter to minimise the risk of harm to your future career. The repercussions of a minor rebuke or reprimand from the SRA on a solicitors record can have serious implications later in their career should they require SRA authorisation for future roles such as COLP/COFA or a new practice setup. The SRA seems to have taken a highly adversarial approach to this issue, when the SRA have been less than efficient in handling their own deadlines in previous years.
If you are one of the solicitors affected by the disproportionate and unnecessary approach taken recently by the SRA in relation to the Practising Certificate renewal process then please call LBS Legal. Our team has significant experience and an excellent track record of dealing with the SRA in personal disciplinary matters.
